No one is afraid of an uphill putt. But everyone I know dreads a downhill five or seven footer; the steeper the slope the greater the dread. And rightly so, because that downhill seven footer can easily become a 10 footer coming back .
That happens because most of us don’t really have a plan in mind for how to deal with a downhill putt. In the five minutes or so we devote to the practice green, we seldom have enough slope, or the presence of mind, to practice this putt.
In this video Mike Dero shows us how to layout a plan, so that we know exactly what to do, then build on our experience.
