Is Your Driver Too long?

Have you ever stepped up to the tee on a short par 4, pulled out your three wood, and bam, hit a shot that just felt perfect? Then, on your next tee shot, you revert back to your driver, and it just doesn’t have quite the same feel and doesn’t seem as accurate. Why is that?
Well, Sam Adams thinks the culprit might be that your driver is too long – and that equipment manufacturers have quietly taken you to longer and longer drivers – longer than even the pros use. If Sam is right, this would be a quick fix to improve your drives.

Just cut my driver by 1 3/4 inches for a golf trip to Pinehurst.

Tell me something I *don’t* know! I’m 5’8′, and 58 yrs to boot. First thing I do when I get a new driver (or buy an aftermarket shaft) is have it shortened so the clubs playing length is 44″.
I HAVE m2 Taylor made. The difference between driver and 3 wood was 4 inches . I cut 2 inches of driver shaft
accuracy and quality of hit has improved massively.
Make sure u get the swing weight checked if u just cut ur driver down !
