We’ve all heard of the stimpmeter, as in “the greens are rolling an 11 on the stimpmeter.” But have you ever even seen a stimpmeter, or know how the stimpmeter ratings are calculated? And, that’s just one of the tools your greens keeper uses to keep the greens in tip-top shape. In this video Kevin Leo, superintendent at Quail Creek CC in Naples Florida, shows us some of the tools of his trade. The only tool missing is the machine that rolls the greens, until you get the greens to the stimpmeter rating you want.
