The R&A governing body tells us that “a golf course is a living community of plants and animals, together with the natural resources of soil, water, sunlight and air.” So, to have a really great golf course it stands to reason that all of these factors need live in harmony.
But when Dubai decided to build a golf course in the desert, It was really more than your typical golf course design problem. They were clearly going up against mother nature. Without the basic building blocks of soil and water Dubai had to really think outside the sand box. Pretty amazing stuff.
