At the start of each new year it is always nice to think of those, in the past year, who in one way or another brought us good cheer. And when we think of golf we always think of the pros like Spieth, Day or McIlroy who made the sport so exciting last year. But golf also has an outstanding rear echelon, without whom the games we love to watch would never happen; the maintenance crew, the volunteers and the rules officials. Peter Kostis provides a fitting tribute to these unsung heroes.
